Scar Care Gel 10 g, 20 g
Mederma® Intense Scar Gel's unique triple benefit formula helps seal in moisture, soften skin and smoothen skin. Plus, our products are formulated and tested to be used on the face.
Expert scar care with Cepalin® Botanical Onion extract, supported with advanced Rovisome technology to enhance absorption through the epidermis. This specially formulated scar gel from Mederma® helps nourish the skin with scar traces caused by injury, burn and acne to look faded until you notice it in just 14 days.
For best results, start using Mederma® gel as soon as your wound has closed and continue using daily for at least 8 weeks on new scars and 3-6 months on older scars. Make sure the scab has come off naturally and any stitches have been removed. On older scars you may start using our scar cream immediately. Do not apply to broken skin.
Mederma® Intense Scar Gel users start to see noticeable improvement after 14 days of daily usage1, with optimum improvement after 8 weeks.

Some stretch marks are types of atrophic scars. Mederma® Stretch Marks is formulated for use on stretch marks; please use the product as directed.
Mederma® Intense Scar Gel can be used on atrophic scars, such as acne and chicken pox scars. It may help to smooth and soften the edges of the pox mark but will not cause the indented area to fill in. By smoothing the edges, the mark may become less noticeable.
Some people prefer a cream to a gel. Both Mederma® PM Intensive Overnight Cream and Mederma® Intense Scar Gel work to help improve the appearance of scars with a once-daily (or nightly) application. However, Mederma® PM Intensive Overnight Cream is formulated to help your skin’s natural nighttime repair process with Tripeptol™, a skin-nourishing complex with peptides, collagen and antioxidants. Mederma® Intense Scar Gel may be used any time of day.
You can begin using Mederma® Intense Scar Gel as soon as your wound has closed or your stitches have been removed. Mederma® is not intended for use on open wounds. If a scab has formed, wait until this falls off. While there is still a scab or stitches present, keep your wound clean and covered.
Anyone with a scar can use Mederma® Intense Scar Gel. All Mederma® products should be used as directed. Read the ingredients listed on the package before use if you’ve had reactions to skincare products previously. If you are unsure if Mederma is right for you, please contact a healthcare professional for advice.
